qazwsx's guide to making userbars in photoshop.

1. This is a Photoshop Tutorial, so if you dont have Adobe Photopshop, i think its time for you to leave. You will also need to download and install the "visitor" font. you can find it here: http://www.dafont.com/search.php?psize=m&q=visitor. To install the font go to your control panel, click on 'Fonts' and drag the fort file into the folder that pops up.

2. Ok, now lets get started. To make it even easier, ive made a user bar template for you in .psd format. Download it from here: http://www.twobeds.com/upload/userfiles/lol/user%20bar%20template.psd

3. Now open up my template with Photoshop. It should look like this:


4. Next, select the layer that says "Gradient/Pattern". Once you have done this, pick the Gradient tool (which can be found by right clicking the Paint Bucket tool). Then pick two colours that you like for the gradient, and drag the tool across the image. By now it should look something like this:


5. The next step is to add your image, Pick a picture you like, open it with photoshop, get rid of the background, then resize it so it fits into your userbar. then cut the image, go back to your userbar, select the "text here" layer and paste your image. position the image wherever you think it will look good, like so:


6. You are pretty much done with your userbar, all thats left is to edit the text. To do this, go to the "text here" layer, select the Text tool, and edit the text so it says whatever you want. ok youre done with the userbar and it should be looking like this:


All thats left is to save it as .jpeg, upload it and put it in your sig...

I really needed this but I need to download photoshop then start on graphic again !! thanx for posting ^^

Yes, userbars are easy to make, and yet a lot of people have trouble making them for some reason. They cant even type 'userbar tutorial' in google...

im just making it easier....
